Watertown Store Visit
Worthington Ag Parts - Solutions providers for tractor, combine and implement parts problems for over 43 years!
I'm at the Watertown, SD location yesterday and today! The store looks great and as you can tell from the photo to the left the yard is very organized! New lights have been installed in the parts bins - what a difference you almost have to wear sun glasses when looking through the thousands of parts located in their bins!
Greg Clemens our Manager of Information Systems is here with me installing the "new" counter system add on.
Watertown is our test site for the enhanced customer service module. A meeting was held last night with all the countermen and yard staff. At first I thought they were just showing interest because of the free pizza but the system was very well received and we are hoping for a successful "beta" test over the next few weeks. If all goes well and only slight modifications are needed, roll out to all the stores will proceed immediately. As I type this blog Greg and Rashid are making live changes to the system based on feed back from the sales staff already!
Thanks for the input Gerry! No doubt there will be a lot of "tweaks" to the system in the coming weeks. The counter staff and parts checkers are the end users and will give the best input for these modifications. The goods news is we have a very qualified in-house IT staff to make these changes.
Happy Anniversary....
Charlie McCabe has been with us in two different shifts for a total of six year as of April 18th! Charlie is employed at the warehouse in Sikeston, MO. Keep up the good work!
That's all for now!
Cheers,
Mike Winter
