It's independence day! The day we Americans celebrate our independence as a country! I travel the world for business and I respect each individual country's culture and find them interesting. I will say there is nothing like the United States, and it's always nice to get home when traveling abroad! We as Americans, should be thankful for the freedom and riches (immaterial and well as material) that we are fortunate to have.
Don't forget our troops overseas on this holiday, they are doing their jobs to insure we continue to live our free way of life! Whether you agree or disagree with us being there, please support the young men and women who sacrifice their time with family and their personal safety for our safety!

Laurie Hokeness, Office Manager - Worthington, MN Division - Laurie has been with the company for 26 years on July 1st! Looking at the photo she must have started when she was three years old! I have a funny story to share about Laurie! I was newly hired (eighteen years ago) with Worthington Ag Parts and decided to stop in and meet the corporate office staff before my start date. At the time Laurie was the Human Resource Manager of Worthington Ag Parts. I knew I was coming in to work with the chief accountant that was leaving on maternity leave. Well, Laurie was sitting at her desk and I made the mistake of saying, "So, you are leaving on maternity leave?" assuming she was the Chief Accountant! She said "No I just returned from maternity leave, that would be Doris sitting behind me." That's where I could taste my foot that had just been inserted in my mouth! Despite that rough beginning, I'm not sure I would have made it that first year without Laurie's kindness and willingness to help me! Thanks Laurie!! I wish you many more productive years with Worthington Ag Parts!
Denny Bell, Manager - Re-manufacturing Division - Sikeston, MO - As I mentioned in my last blog Denny has been with the company for 13 years as of July 1st! Denny also served in our armed forces for years, thanks Denny and because of people like you the 4th of July continues to be a special holiday!
Marv Abels, Manager - Leesburg Division - Marv has been with the company 18 years today! He started in Worthington on the yard 18 years ago! He is the model for success, starting on the yard working his way through the counter and now is the manager of our Leesburg, Indiana location!
